The TPC is comprised of 14 VHA Texas systems that have committed to work together to lower their supply costs. The TPC enables its members to be recognized as one large system, thus aggregating their purchase volume and commitment to maximize tiered pricing options, create unique value, and develop customized programs.

The TPC announced that it has saved the 14 member hospitals $10.5 million in 2008, in its first operational year. The total supply chain purchasing volume for the TPC members was more than $600 million in 2008.
