With all the news about company failures, massive layoffs and contracting markets, the ARC Advisory Group’s latest report gave the Warehouse Management System (WMS) software market a boost. ARC reports that the worldwide sales fell by only 1% in 2008, but they do predict that the market will fall in 2009 before rising again in 2010. ARC found that the top five suppliers grew market share in 2008 with four of the five vendors posted double-digit revenue growth, and one of those five grew by more than thirty-five percent. In 2008, over 50% of the total WMS market was controlled by the top five vendors.
