Salesforce.com Profits Rise Again
Tuesday November 17, 2009
Salesforce.com, the leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) using software-as-a-service (SaaS), reported that it's third quarter profit has doubled. The figures show that despite the economic difficulties experienced by most companies, there is still a strong demand for the solutions using SaaS rather than traditional on-site implementations. For the third quarter that ended on October 31, Salesforce.com reported a profit of $20.7 million, up from $10.1 million from the previous year. The company's revenue grew 20 percent to $330.5 million. The company's revenue grew in every region, including a 16 percent gain in the Americas, which provides about 70 percent of the overall revenue total.
