The rivalry between ERP software giants continues in 2012, but figures from last year find SAP to continue it's dominance over the others. Figures for the last quarter of 2011 showed SAP with increased software revenues, 16 percent, and software related services were up 12 percent. SAP's impressive figures were not replicated by Oracle whose software sales only increased two percent in 2011.
Other ERP vendors such as Epicor and Infor reported better than average figures for 2011. Epicor reported that their software revenues increased between 8% and 10% during the last three months of 2011. Infor reported that their software license revenue grew 16 percent in 2011 which made them the third largest ERP vendor behind leaders SAP and Oracle.
