sustainable packaging For those of you are interested in sustainable packaging there is a one-day seminar in Atlanta on February 26th entitled "Essentials of Sustainable Packaging". This event at the InterContinental hotel in Buckhead is being held by the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and educates you in sustainability considerations that apply to the entire packaging life cycle: material sourcing, packaging design, manufacturing, transport, and final disposal.

Participants will learn about sustainability and balancing tradeoffs, tools for measuring and reporting sustainability, sourcing and recovering materials, understanding environmental and human health impacts, as well as communicating sustainability projects. If you are not in the Atlanta area, then the Sustainable Packaging Coalition can customize sessions for your company, or you can visit there website for the locations and dates of upcoming seminars.

Sounds like a very good introduction to sustainable packaging. Although I am not in Atlanta, I hope there will be sessions closer to NYC.

This is a good topic. I work in Nigeria and the packaging for the products my company makes are made not made from recycled material. The availability of recycled raw material is very low.

Sounds like a good introduction to sustainable packaging. I have just graduated and was looking into packaging design as a career.
