Definition: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a suite of software that is used for planning and managing across the company or enterprise. ERP software covers sales, accounting, production, inventory management, quality, plant maintenance, transportation and other business processes.
Examples:
SAP and Oracle are examples of current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
