Evaluated Receipts Settlement

By Martin Murray, About.com

Definition: ERS is a process for authorizing payment for items based on actual receipts with purchase order data, when a contract has been established between customer and vendor. This process is also called a Two-Way Match, as it matches the purchase order to the goods receipt note, without waiting for a vendor’s invoice.
