Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

Definition: RFID uses radio frequency technology, RFID tags and tag readers to identify objects. RFID has advantages over traditional RF due to the ability to be read over long distances, the RFID tags do not need a line of sight to be read, and RFID tag data can be updated or changed.
