Definition: Radio frequency (RF) is a form of wireless communication that allows users to relay information via electromagnetic energy waves from a terminal, or a hand held device to a base station, which is linked in turn to a host computer. RF technology is used in warehousing and allows warehouse staff to perform more tasks without returning to the base station.
