SAP has been a good tool
- We implemented SAP back in 2001 and since then our company (retail giant) has been more successful each year in managing our supply chain. We tend to use the data that SAP generates to constantly analyze where we can improve service to our customers and get vendors to improve their service to us.

Success Depends on Vendors
- I am the Supply Chain Manager at a manufacturing business and we are very successful managing our supply chain. We use ERP and CRM and the results are very good. However, the week link in our supply chain is the vendors we work with. We have very strict contracts with them, but their deliveries are often late and they use a lot of excuses. We would have a world class supply chain if our vendors were better.
